The Civic Imagination Project.
Once a month, I’m going to sit down — in a coffeehouse, a wine bar, a bookstore, a corner booth — with Metro Detroit’s most compelling leaders, organizers, healers, and visionaries.
Nonprofit founders.
Civic architects.
Cultural workers.
The people who are quietly holding this city together with both hands.
And we’re going to talk.
Really talk.
About what they’re building.
Why they started.
What they’re afraid of.
What they believe is possible.
These conversations will be recorded, produced, and shared — across YouTube, across this newsletter, across every platform where our community gathers.
Because stories don’t just inform us.
They remind us of what we’re capable of.
Why now?
Because I believe Detroit — and the communities surrounding her — deserve to see themselves reflected in media that is dignified, intentional, and beautiful.
